Authorities are investigating the possible desecration of the body of a 22-year-old woman who was buried in a Carcar City, Cebu cemetery.

According to a GMA Regional TV report in State of the Nation on Monday, the woman died due to birth complications and was buried last October 19.
The following day, a gravedigger said he discovered the late woman’s coffin outside the grave. The family checked the coffin and discovered that the dress of the remains was lifted and that the underwear was missing, prompting them to report the matter to police.
